Pratichi Shah is an HR strategist and thought leader with twenty-five years experience in all aspects of talent management, human resources, and organizational development in the nonprofit and for profit arenas.  

Pratichi is the founder and CEO of Flourish Talent Management Solutions (FTMS), a firm focused on increasing impact through talent strategy development; strategy and culture alignment; training and organizational development; and coaching for executives and emerging leaders.  FTMS works exclusively with the nonprofit and philanthropic communities and has helped to strengthen the impact of national and global organizations focused on issues such as civil rights, international development, social service, health research, women’s rights, education, environmental conservation, and public policy. 

Prior to launching FTMS, Pratichi was the Chief Talent Officer (CTO) for Independent Sector, a nonprofit membership coalition that leads and mobilizesthe charitable community. As the CTO, she led all human capital programs and processes for the organization, resulting in significant culture change and greater employee engagement.  She was also part of the founding team of the Talent Initiative, a nonprofit program that provided capacity-building organization fellowships to growth-oriented nonprofits (since been acquired).  

Before returning to the nonprofit sector, Pratichi was the Global Director of the Employer of Choice function for Willis Towers Watson(then known as Watson Wyatt Worldwide – WW), a 7,500 employee global Human Resources consulting firm.  In her Global EOC role, Pratichi was responsible for the firm’s Communications, Employee Relations, and Diversity areas and led talent management initiatives that positioned the organization as an “Employer of Choice,” including the firm’s first global employee survey, national e-learning initiative, executive coaching for rising leaders at all levels, as well as cultural integration during the organization’s global merger.  Also during her eleven years with WW, Pratichi led the Training, Performance and Organizational Development functions, established and directed the Employee Relations and internal Communications areas and helped to create the company’s first Diversity and Inclusion initiative.  

Prior to Watson Wyatt, Pratichi was part of the Organizational Development and Training function of George Washington University and Hospital, where her areas of internal consultation and training included management skills, change management, leadership development, and diversity.

Pratichi often speaks about talent issues to national nonprofit audiences at gatherings including the Grantmakers for Effective Organizations (GEO) “Leading Change” Conference, Independent Sector National Conferences, Nonprofit Talent and Culture Summits, Center for Nonprofit Advancement Leadership Conference, Council on Foundations National Conference, Philanthropy Midwest Conference, Council on Foundations webinar, “Diversity and Inclusion in Talent Acquisitions,” and the Bayer Center for Nonprofit Management Annual Leadership Event.  She has been quoted in the New York Timesannual “Giving” section regarding talent trends within the nonprofit sector and been published in the Chronicle of Philanthropyregarding critical talent processes.  She has also hosted a Chronicle of Philanthropy’s online Live Discussion about the importance of feedback to impactful organizations.

As an involved community leader, Pratichi serves on the Boards of Directors for the League of American Orchestrasand Pro-Inspire, and on the National Advisory Councils for Equity in the Centerand Fund the People. 

She holds an MBA in Human Resources from American University, a BA in the Psychology of Management from Eckerd College, and an executive coaching certification from the Newfield Network.
